With winter having arrived and the days getting shorter, Touch Berlin has headed indoors for Wednesday evenings to play a crazy new sport which will sharpen your ball skills and keep fitness levels sky high for social Touch outdoors at TiB on Saturdays.
Turbo Touch is a cross between basketball and Touch, – it’s a jam-packed, non-contact sport with plenty of action and perfect for all fitness levels and abilities.
Unlike traditional Touch, the oval ball can be passed forwards, or backwards, sideways, any way you like, and the team in possession must put in at least two passes before a touchdown can be scored.
It makes for a high tempo, quick turnover game which can be played on a typical basketball court and sharpens the skills as wayward passes are quickly punished as players zoom up and down the court.
You don't need a background in Touch or either code of rugby to get involved, anyone who has played any team sport can pick up the game quickly.
If you've ever been involved in basketball at even the most basic level you have already got a good start. It's just we play with an oval ball.
Having originated in New Zealand, Turbo Touch is now in it's second year in Berlin, so come down to
Teske Oberschule at Tempelhofer Weg 62 to find out more.
Better to show up early as we start at 20:00 and have to be out by 21:30, which is normally followed by a few social beers.

DEUTSCHE FASSUNG:

The next Touch Deutschland AGM will take place on Sunday November 20th at 1500. All members of TiB are automatically members of Touch Deutschland and may therefore participate in the proceedings (Although we as a team have only a single vote in TD decisions/elections).
The AGM will take place in the form of a telephone conference to facilitate easier access. The Agenda for the meeting is attached below. Please note the meeting will be carried out in German.
Amongst various other items for discussion and approval will be the election of new board members.
Two of the current board members are retiring from their positions at the next available opportunity and the board as a whole is seeking volunteers to stand for election for these posts.
To simplify the election process, all board positions will contest the upcoming election
